What is ARN number? What is full form of ARN?

ARN number or simply ARN is AMFI Registration Number.  This number is assigned by AMFI to the individual who has passed the NISM V-A Mutual Fund Distributor exam. You can get the ARN number online. To get the ARN number, you need to apply for the same at AMFI website.

ARN number is assigned by AMFI. You can apply for ARN at the AMFI website.

Pre-requisite:

The pre-requisite for getting ARN is that you need to clear the exam viz. NISM V-A Mutual Fund Distributor exam. Once you pass this examination, you need to wait to get the Passing Certificate from NISM on your e- mail id.

Only after getting this certificate, you can apply for ARN number at AMFI website.

Steps for applying for ARN on AMFI website:

1) Click this link - https://www.amfiindia.com/

2) Click on Distributor Corner

3) Select Online Registration & Renewal of ARN and EUIN

4) Click on Register & ARN

5) Enter your PAN number & Mobile Number.

6) Upload necessary documents & give device permission.

7) Click on Ok for E-KYC. 

8) Click on Help me to download Aadhar XML

9) Follow the screen instructions (You will go to the Aadhar site, here from the dashboard you need to select Offline KYC option to download aadhar xml). 

10) Give contact details & enter required OTP

11) Upload necessary documents (Pancard, Addhar XML file, cancelled cheque, sample signature on whitepaper)

12) Submit all the documents  & required details.

13) Click on e-sign & submit the application

14) Enter your Bank Details (IFSC code, name, account number, account type)

15) Make a payment of ARN fees. The application fee is Rs 1770 as of 21^st April 2023.

What happens after the ARN application is submitted at AMFI website?

You will get a confirmation mail of the application in your email.

After few days, AMFI will assign ARN number and send an email with the ARN number and password to login to AMFI website.

After 14 days from application, you will also get a physical ARN card mailed to your address.
